Jade Williams
My name is Jade Williams, and I earned a Bachelors degree in Human Development and a Masters in Counseling from Washington State University and worked as a mental health counselor for several years before going back to school to earn my Veterinary Technician license. I have worked in veterinary medicine since 2005 and have extensive training in emergency and critical care, but have worked in specialty and referral practice and day practice as well. I began teaching the Pre-Veterinary Technology course here at New Market in 2014 and was hooked on Career and Technical education, specifically here at New Market! I earned my Masters in Education in 2016 and began working in the Professional Medical Careers class in 2017, teaching the Anatomy and Physiology portion of the class, but I am so happy to be back in the Veterinary program where my passion, background and interest lies! I am currently working on my Doctorate degree and would love to teach at the college level someday. I love animals, specifically dogs, whales, opossums, axolotls and bison, and I live with two French bulldogs and a hairless cat.
