Medical Assistant
Start your healthcare career with this hands-on Medical Assistant course, designed to introduce students to both clinical and administrative roles in the medical field. The curriculum includes medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, lab science, and medical billing/coding. First-year students can earn CPR/First Aid certification, dual credit in medical terminology, and participate in a job shadowing experience. Second-year students who meet program benchmarks may qualify for a 160-hour clinical externship and become eligible to sit for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam. Prior completion of a high school health and biology course is recommended.
