Instructor Biography

Scott Munsell

Hi, my name is Scott Munsell. I am the instructor for the Diesel and Marine Technology course here at the New Market Skills Center. I have spent the last 30 years working in the Diesel and Marine Tech industry. My experience in this field is drawn from: owner/operator of a 43’ charter fishing vessel for 13 years, commercial crabbing, halibut longlining off the mouth of the Columbia River, heavy duty truck engine repair/rebuilding, and general truck maintenance from fixing lights to changing frame rails. At home, my wife and I, along with our two kids, love spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, skiing and atv riding. I am looking forward to building positive relationships with students as they are learning and building skills for the future.
