Program Description: Students will be provided with hands-on training in multiple areas of the diesel and marine technology field. The Diesel and Marine Technology program will cover a wide variety of topics and will use diesel engines as a focal point.  Technical units will include the science behind corrosion, propulsion, and buoyancy, along with basic skills for topics including precision measurement, shop safety, tool use and rigging.  Other units will focus on electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics and even material science.  

High School Equivalency Credits: Students earn 3.0 credits per year allocated as 1.0 English, 1.0 Science, 1.0 Math. See how these credits satisfy graduation requirements in the Program of Study.
