Program Description: The Culinary Arts program combines a comprehensive culinary curriculum with on-the job training making our Culinary Arts program unique and exciting for young people. Students exit the program job-ready and prepared for further culinary education. Students are immersed in daily commercial food production, customer service training and academic instruction. Possible opportunities in catering and internships are available. Students are required to have a current food handler card, which can be obtained at https://www.foodworkercard.wa.gov/

High School Equivalency Credits: Students earn 3.0 credits per year allocated as 1.0 Jr/Sr English, 1.0 Lab Science, 1.0 Career Technical Education. See how these credits satisfy graduation requirements in the Program of Study. 

College Credits: Credits available through South Puget Sound Community College: up to 5 credits, Bates Technical College: up to 14 credits, or Clover Park Technical College: up to 3 credits

Students who successfully complete the program and meet the college grading requirements, will be eligible to apply.

Career Pathways: Waiter, Food Preparation, Dishwasher, Baker, Butcher, Private Chef, Food Science, Restaurant Manager, Food Journalism, Executive Chef, Hotel Management
