Details

Program Description: Students learn vehicle construction, minor body repair, sanding, painting components and spraying techniques, plastic repair, estimating damaged vehicles, MIG welding, and many other operations related to vehicle repair. Safety and proper use of equipment and materials are stressed throughout this program. Students are involved in SkillsUSA leadership activities and skills competitions which emphasize teamwork and cooperation. The program includes use of I-CAR, Axalta Paint Products, Chief, Hunter, and other professional training materials to meet Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation (ASEEF) and Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) requirements, standards and certifications.

High School Equivalency Credits: Students earn 3.0 credits per year allocated as 1.0 Jr/Sr English, 2.0 Career Technical Education/Elective. See how these credits satisfy graduation requirements in the Program of Study

College Credits: Credits available through Bates Technical College: up to 80 credits, Clover Park Technical College: up to 17 credits, or South Puget Sound Community College: up to 4 credits

Students who successfully complete the program and meet the college grading requirements, will be eligible to apply.
