Worksite Learning and Learning Support

Nicole comes from a background in banking and finance, having spent the last decade championing the financial well‑being of this community through her work at our local credit union, WSECU. She has a passion for learning and for fostering self‑sufficiency through education. Nicole believes every student is unique and has the potential to thrive when given the right tools and encouragement.

As the Worksite Learning Coordinator at New Market Skills Center, Nicole uses real‑life job experiences to support hands‑on learning. Her goal is to help students build strong life skills, develop financial literacy, and maintain employability as they navigate their current and future career paths.

As a Washington native, Nicole attended school locally and earned her BA from the University of Washington, followed by an MBA from Western Governors University. She is committed to ongoing professional growth, keeping education and continuous learning at the forefront of her work so she can remain current, creative, and effective in her teaching.

Outside of school, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, and relaxing with her two cats. If you see her around campus, don’t hesitate to say hello!

Cattigan works with North Thurston Public Schools students as a student support paraeducator and liaison between New Market Skill Center and NTPS students and staff. She has lived in the Pacific Northwest for 25+ years by way of New Jersey and Arizona. Cattigan has her bachelor's degree in social sciences.  Her children are alumni of North Thurston Public Schools.  Cattigan is an avid book reader, snuggler of grandbabies, and wants to make a difference.
